I read and loved Aria ages ago. This is a beautiful series with an appealing blend of the mundane world, and the dangerous and magical fae court just below our everyday experiences. It’s a great world of tragic love stories, century-long grudges, and immortal friendships. Puck is one of the villains. Apparently I mentioned this to Harold at some point, so when he saw this new(ish) Aria: Heavenly Creatures, he got it for me.

I’m reading a lot more novels than graphic novels these days, but I was so happy to discover this one and go back to this world. The art is a perfect match for the beautiful and dangerous fae world.

Heavenly Creatures is another story of Kildare and her supernatural friends battling evil and greed. Overall, I mostly liked it, but I’m getting a bit old for fantasy stories where the sexy ladies all just happen to wear battle bikinis or just happen to be naked right at that moment or whatever. So there were a couple eyerolls here, even though I really enjoyed seeing a new Kildare adventure.
